    Shanghai’s highlights

    Shanghai can easily be reached by taxi or subway but for people with limited time and who want to see it all we offer a private Shanghai highlight day tour which includes the Jade Buddha temple, People square, Shanghai museum, Yuyuan garden, Shanghai old street, the Bund and the former French concession area with colonial houses. The tour ends in Tainzifang, Shanghai’s Soho: originally a typical factory lane in the 1950s but now a centre for interior design, visual arts and industrial arts.

    From 1850 to 1950, waves of Jewish immigrants, from India, Russia and Germany had a significant impact on the economy and development of Shanghai. Inspiring numerous books and documentaries, the Shanghai ghetto was an area of approximately a square mile. Walk the streets of the former Jewish neighbourhoods and have a chat with the local people who have spent most of their life time in that area.
