Tiger Leaping Gorge trek 2 days

Tiger Leaping gorge panorama

The Tiger Leaping Gorge trek is a great hike through some of the most naturally beautiful and diverse landscapes Yunnan has to offer. The higher trail runs from the northern side of the gorge passing through quiet Naxi villages, shady patches of forest along green terraced farmland. The view is spectacular with the snow covered peaks of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (5596m) and Haba Snow Mountain (5396m) towering on either side of the gorge. Looking down you’ll see the fast moving Yangste river beneath you. The trek goes up quite high and paths can be narrow at times so the trek is not for the faint hearted.
